Cognitive Training for the National Guard: Neurova Labs and Blue Rose at NGAUS 2026
Updated: Sep 25
INDIANAPOLIS, Aug. 31, 2026. Neurova Labs spent four days at the 148th NGAUS General Conference and Exhibition with our partner Blue Rose Consulting Group, at booth 1900 in the Indiana Convention Center. The exhibit hall closed this morning. Thank you to every Guard leader who stopped by, put on a headset, and brought us a hard question.

What happened at booth 1900 at NGAUS 2026?
Guard leaders ran Neurova Academy for themselves at booth 1900, and our team walked visitors through the measurement side of the program. A session moves through six phases, Activate, Challenge, Sequence, React, Switch, and Recover, in adaptive environments that adjust scenario difficulty in real time to each participant. Neurova Academy was also listed in the conference product directory.
Between demonstrations, we covered:
The 2026 cohort studies with the YMCA of Orange County, where trauma symptom scores on the PCL-5 improved 28 percent and psychological distress on the Kessler-6 improved 24 percent, each at p less than 0.001
Sleep quality improved 22 percent in those studies, 84 percent of participants completed the full 30-day assessment, and 96 percent said they would recommend the program
The optional 22-marker CoreSignals RNA blood panel from iXpressGenes, a CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited laboratory
These are preliminary, observational findings, and a controlled validation study is underway.
Why did NGAUS matter for Neurova Labs?
NGAUS is where Guard leaders gather each year to set the priorities of the force, and four days on that floor put a fielded program in front of the adjutants general, state surgeons, and staff officers who decide how a formation takes care of its people. For most Soldiers and Airmen, routine contact with military health happens at the annual periodic health assessment. The rest of the year runs through a civilian job, a civilian provider, or nothing at all.
Neurova Academy was built for those other days. It runs at the unit during drill, with no referral and no clinical infrastructure. A full cycle is five facilitator-led sessions of about thirty minutes, done standing in about a square meter of space, and the program works offline. Facilitator certification is delivered remotely and comes with access.
Neurova Labs is veteran founded and veteran led, so this was our room.
Why did NGAUS matter for Blue Rose?
For Blue Rose, booth 1900 added a fielded brain health capability to a portfolio Guard leaders already know for information technology, program solutions, and people advisory work.

Blue Rose Consulting Group is a certified service-disabled veteran-owned small business and HUBZone company, and it is the reason Neurova Labs was in Indianapolis. Contracting, delivery, and sustainment for Guard and federal programs run through Blue Rose, and its national clinician network is an active Neurova Academy deployment.
Todd A. Weiler and David Savage worked the floor alongside our team all week, and that pairing gave every conversation a clear answer to the question of how a state would buy the program and run it.
What comes next after NGAUS?
We are following up with the leaders and state teams we met this week. For units ready to take a next step, we offer a technical briefing with our scientific leadership and a scoped proof of concept with hardware, access, and certification provided.
Guard leaders can contact our team to set up a briefing.
