Privacy Policy
Â
Effective [Effective date]
Â
This Privacy Policy explains how Neurova Labs [legal entity name, e.g. Neurova Labs, Inc.] ("Neurova Labs," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information through neurovalabs.com and the forms, member areas, and emails connected to it (the "Site").
Â
1. What this policy covers
This policy covers the Site. It does not cover information collected when you take part in a Neurova Academy program through a clinic, treatment center, YMCA, military unit, or other partner. That information is governed by the consent forms you sign for the program and by the partner's own privacy practices. Elective laboratory testing is covered by the consent you give the laboratory.
Â
2. Information we collect
Information you give us:
-
Contact details, such as your name, email address, phone number, organization, and role, when you submit a form or book a call.
-
The content of your message, the type of request you select, and how you heard about us.
-
Account details, such as your name, email address, login credentials, and any profile information, when you sign up for a partner or trainer account.
-
Your email address and preferences when you subscribe to updates.
Information collected automatically:
-
Device and browser type, IP address, approximate location derived from the IP address, pages viewed, time on page, and the site or link that referred you.
-
Cookie and similar identifiers set by our website platform, described in section 5.
Information from others:
-
Contact details shared with us by a program partner or event organizer when you ask to be connected with us.
-
Information you make available when you interact with our social media accounts.
Â
3. Please do not send health information through the Site
Our forms are for inquiries. Please do not include diagnoses, symptoms, medications, or other health details in a form or email. If you do, we use that information only to respond to you and we do not add it to marketing lists.
If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. In an emergency, call 911.
Â
4. How we use information
-
To respond to inquiries, schedule calls, and follow up on requests.
-
To create and manage partner and trainer accounts and give access to program materials.
-
To send newsletters, event invitations, and program updates you have asked for or that relate to a business relationship with you. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe.
-
To understand how visitors use the Site and to improve its content, speed, and security.
-
To protect the Site, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Â
5. Cookies and analytics
The Site runs on Wix. Wix sets cookies that the Site needs to work, such as session and security cookies, and cookies that support site analytics we use to count visits and see which pages are read. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some Site features may not work without them.
Pages that show embedded videos, social posts, or maps load content from YouTube, Instagram, Google, and similar providers. Those providers may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
As of the effective date, we do not use advertising pixels or cross-site tracking tools on the Site. [Update this section if that changes.] Browsers send "Do Not Track" signals in different ways and there is no common standard for them, so the Site does not respond to them. Where the law requires it, we honor the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out request.
Â
6. How we share information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only in these situations:
-
With service providers that host the Site, send email, and help us run the business, under contracts that limit their use of the information.
-
With a program partner, such as a clinic or community organization near you, when you ask to be connected or ask where you can take part.
-
With our laboratory partner, only for program participants who choose elective blood work and consent to it directly.
-
When required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to enforce our terms.
-
As part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
-
With your permission.
Â
7. How long we keep information
We keep inquiry and account information for as long as needed to respond, maintain the relationship, and meet legal and accounting requirements, and then delete or de-identify it. [Confirm a retention period, for example 3 years after last contact.]
Â
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including the security controls of our hosting platform. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Â
9. Your choices and rights
-
Marketing email: use the unsubscribe link in any message, or write to us.
-
Account information: you can update your profile in the member area, including whether it is visible to other members.
-
Access, correction, and deletion: you can ask for a copy of your personal information or ask us to correct or delete it.
-
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law, such as the right to opt out of certain processing and the right to appeal our decision on a request. To make a request, email info@neurovalabs.com. We will verify the request before acting on it, and you may use an authorized agent. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
Â
10. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them through the Site. Minors take part in Neurova Academy programs only through a program partner and with a parent or guardian's consent. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Â
11. Visitors outside the United States
The Site is operated from the United States, and information is processed and stored in the United States.
Â
12. Links to other sites
The Site links to partner and third-party sites. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies.
Â
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date, and we will give additional notice of material changes where the law requires it.
