SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 18, 2026. Neurova Labs is partnering with iXpressGenes, a veteran-led molecular diagnostics company in Huntsville, Alabama, to pair Neurova Academy with the iXpressGenes CoreSignals Panel, a 22-marker RNA blood test. Together, the two companies give programs a way to follow how people feel alongside what their biology shows.

What does iXpressGenes do in RNA biomarker testing?

iXpressGenes operates a CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited molecular diagnostics laboratory, and its CoreSignals Panel measures RNA gene expression in whole blood associated with inflammation and physiological stress response. A sample can come from a small self-administered kit or a clinic draw, so a lab visit is optional. According to the company, iXpressGenes is an approved VA vendor and takes part in the Department of Defense Mentor-Protégé Program through the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.

Why pair a blood panel with a training program?

A blood panel gives a care team something objective to set beside what a client reports, and a way to see if an intervention is doing its job. iXpressGenes frames its work in three steps: detect, recommend, and verify. Practitioners measure a starting point, guide an intervention, and then confirm what changed.

How does Neurova Academy fit with the CoreSignals Panel?

Neurova Academy is the intervention in the middle of that loop. A full cycle is five facilitator-led daily sessions of about thirty minutes in adaptive environments that target 27 distinct brain regions spanning memory, attention, language, reasoning, and executive function. Every session follows six phases, Activate, Challenge, Sequence, React, Switch, and Recover, and program development was guided by fNIRS and fNCI conducted at a neurological treatment center.

The CoreSignals Panel is optional. Programs that use it draw blood before and after a cycle, and the panel is designed to track inflammatory and immune signals associated with stress and recovery over time. It is not used to diagnose any condition.

What does the RNA biomarker data show so far?

Our largest blood cohort to date shows the strongest changes among people who start with the highest inflammatory burden, and a controlled, baseline-matched validation study is underway.

  • 2026 Neurova Labs cohort. In an observational cohort of 103 members measured on the 22-marker CoreSignals Panel at Day 1, Day 5, and Day 30, members who entered with the highest inflammatory burden showed the largest changes. Among the top 25 percent at Day 1 (26 members), the Global Inflammation Score, a 0 to 100 composite from the panel, fell from 52.4 to 30.3 by Day 5 and to 27.0 by Day 30, a 48 percent reduction, with 23 of 26 members improving. By Day 30, TNF-alpha was lower in all 26, and IL-6, IL-1 beta, CRP, CCL2, and IFN-gamma each fell 66 to 76 percent.

  • Checked against untreated controls. Ten members who did not receive the program were measured at Day 1 and Day 30. High-baseline controls also fell, so part of any drop is natural. After adjusting for starting level, the protocol group fared 12 points better on the Global Inflammation Score (p ≈ 0.015), a suggested advantage that a controlled, baseline-matched study is now testing.

  • YMCA of Orange County. The 2026 Brain+ cohort studies drew blood at Day 1, Day 5, and Day 30 alongside the PCL-5 and Kessler-6.

These are observational findings.

Who are Neurova Labs and iXpressGenes?

Neurova Labs and iXpressGenes are veteran-led companies that built their work around the people who carry the heaviest load: service members, veterans, first responders, and the communities they come home to. Pairing a fielded training program with a certified lab gives those programs a clearer picture of progress.
