SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 20, 2026. Neurova Labs is bringing Neurova Academy to residential, PHP, IOP, and continuing care programs with a model built around the moment most programs have the least support for their clients: discharge.

What pressure are treatment centers under?

Shorter stays, tighter concurrent review, and denials for continued care are reshaping the economics of addiction treatment, as Behavioral Health Business has reported. Census is moving into PHP and IOP, and accreditors expect centers to measure outcomes and plan transitions. Every day of care has to earn its place.

How does Neurova Academy fit a shorter length of stay?

Five sessions of about thirty minutes a day fit inside a shortened length of stay without competing with group time. Neurova Academy was built to work inside those limits:

  • A short cycle. Five sessions of about thirty minutes a day fit inside a shortened length of stay without competing with group time.

  • Instruments your team knows. Programs can track change with the PCL-5 and the Kessler-6, tools clinicians already administer.

  • No added staffing. Facilitator training and certification for your techs or clinicians come with access.

  • Fits in a corner. Clients stand in about a square meter of space. The program runs offline and collects no personally identifiable information in normal use.

How does Neurova Academy support continuation of care?

For continuation of care, Neurova Academy gives a center something concrete to send home and something concrete to follow up on. Aftercare is usually limited to a check-in call.

  • During treatment. The center runs Neurova Academy in house, on its own schedule, alongside group work.

  • At discharge. Clients can buy the headset they already trained on and continue the program at home.

  • After discharge. The center stays the point of contact for that headset, and no annual access fee passes to the client.

Centers can sell headsets to clients who have completed a cycle, at cost or for a markup, with a maximum selling price of $5,000. Centers placing headsets with several clients at a time are priced at volume.

What does the data show?

In the 2026 cohort studies with the YMCA of Orange County, 84 of 100 participants completed the full 30-day assessment and 96 percent said they would recommend the program. Trauma symptom scores on the PCL-5 improved 28 percent, from 29.1 to 21.0, and psychological distress on the Kessler-6 improved 24 percent, from 14.0 to 10.6 (each p < 0.001). Programs can add the optional 22-marker CoreSignals RNA blood panel from iXpressGenes, drawn before and after a cycle. These are observational findings, and a controlled validation study is underway.

Where did the program come from?

The modalities in Neurova Academy came out of an inpatient treatment program that Brenden Borrowman, PhD, founded and ran in Utah while working with people in residential recovery. What is in the headset reflects years of watching what helped people in that setting.

Where can a treatment center see pricing?

Full program pricing, including the deployment package, annual access, and optional blood kits, is on our treatment centers page, where clinical and program directors can book a call with our team.
